TuneUp collects only what its features require, and all of it stays on your device:
A song in your songbook can be a link to a website. Opening one launches that page in an in-app browser tab.
The website you open is operated by a third party and is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one. As with any web browsing, that site receives your IP address, browser user-agent and similar request data.
The tab runs inside your device's default browser, so it uses that browser's existing cookies and sign-in sessions — a site you are already logged into will recognise you, exactly as it would in a normal browser tab. Any cookies it sets belong to that browser, not to TuneUp. TuneUp does not receive, read, or store anything about the page you view.
TuneUp collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics. The app makes no network requests of its own — the only time it reaches the internet is when you deliberately tap a song link, as described in section 3.
We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal data to third parties. All audio processing, preference storage and sheet-music storage happen on-device. The one time data leaves your device is when you deliberately open a song link, as described in section 3.
TuneUp includes an optional crash-reporting facility for diagnosing failures. It is inactive unless a reporting endpoint is configured when the app is built, and no such endpoint is configured in the current release — so no diagnostic data leaves your device.
Every permission TuneUp declares is listed below, with what it is for. The microphone is the only one the app ever asks you to grant; the rest are either automatic or declared without ever being requested.
maxSdkVersion="32") and TuneUp never requests either at runtime, so on any device they are never granted.TuneUp runs no background services. The metronome sounds only while the app is open and in front of you, and stops as soon as you leave it; the tuner listens only while the tuner screen is open.
TuneUp also defines one permission for its own internal use (com.delphion.tuneup.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION). It is created by the Android support libraries so that the app's internal components can talk to each other and not to other apps. It grants no access to your device or your data, and no other app can hold it.
No audio data is retained. Preferences, your songbook and imported sheet music persist until you remove them in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall it. Removing a song from your songbook deletes its imported sheet images from the device.
TuneUp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
